haha, it happens XD. and yeah i know. i generally don't just go and believe everything people say online. hell, i generally don't believe anything anyone tells me about anyone untill it's from a reliable source. just y'know, if it DID happen, i doubt it 100% happened like that.

On the other hand I do believe there were misunderstandings, but I find it hard to believe the label (and Pete) would let them go without sitting them down at least once and having them talk it over. This band wasn't an independent-of-the-universe entity. But then, I don't really know how these things work.
yeah they did say that. and yeah i think so too. ryan kept saying he was still under contract so they had to have had a talk at some point. and jon kept saying that he wasn't on contract so technically, if he really was complaining, he has no actual reason to complain.
XD yep. i personally think they're al still confused about the whole thing. i wouldn't say they're still close and i wouldn't say the hate each other, it's probably still a gray area where they all didn't really see it coming and feelings were a little hurt and it's gonna take a while to settle in.

two things that just popped into my head while i was talking to maureen: 1.i don't think he can fault bren and spence for keping the name and the music because that's their job, what they make money off. he can say whatever he wants, but if the roles were reversed, he'd have done the same thing. i also think this is why it's taking spencer and brendon so long to bring out their stuff, they wanna make it their own and for it to be good, so that people can't keep saying they're still using ryan and jon's stuff 2. i don't get how jon could be hurt that bren and spencer are still playing their music. since, you know, they had a tour they were obligated to do and they didn't exactly have time to write new stuff. and they havent played any shows in ages.

This is all true. And if it took Ryan that much to get out of the contract, it couldn't have been a surprise that Brendon and Spencer stayed and kept the name.
